I've never really thought of myself as a writer. I didn't think that I would be able to put together words and sentences into a quite interesting read. Sure, I can write, but mostly in a serious, prescriptive, prosaic, dull, business tone (that's what I was trained for anyway). But I never imagined I could come up with something worth anybody's leisure time. Then again, I guess there's always a first time for everything.
Now, I find myself in a sort of blogging hype. It has only been four days since the idea came up, thanks to Julia, and I've been so excited to blog. I'm sitting here at my condo's lobby and ideas and topics and reflections just keep flowing in. I realized that there are so much I want to write about--serious issues, usually unnoticed occurrences, travels and experiences, etc. I have already published one entry in my other blog and have asked two friends to review it. So far, I'm fairly impressed with myself and would want to see how far could I go.
Actually, I have never tried blogging before. It was something I never thought I'd be in to. Although I enjoy reading blogs (mostly because it allows me to know that person in a far more different light than I could know him/her personally), i never wanted (until now) to put up my own. Before, I believed that blogging reveals too much of one's self. It's like baring your identity to unnecessary audiences. Then, I realized, blogging is actually self-fulfilling. It's more than an outlet for rants, a site for storytelling, or a money-making review. It can also be a means of self-discovery, a way to organize one's thoughts, and a method of realizing one's real values, dreams, and purpose. Blogging is actually amazing!
And so, with all of these, I am committing myself to blogging. Forgive me if I still lack the creativity and style to keep you interested (I am business major anyway) but I promise to post surprisingly unexpected entries. For those who know me, I hope you won't look at me differently now. For those who don't, I would be pleased to meet you.
Wish me luck! Cheers to more entries!
